We were recently involved with some bending for the Digestive Health Institute of Montana, the largest gastrointestinal (GI) medical group in Montana. Approximately 30,000 pounds of bent steel was shipped to Great Falls, MT for fabrication. This project was unique due to the wide range of materials needing to be rolled. We bent the following materials: Tube Steel 12" X 4" X .250" WALL A500 GR B Tube Steel 12" X 2" X .250" WALL A500 GR B Tube Steel 3" X 1½" X .120" WALL A513 Tube Steel 3" X 1" X .120" WALL A513 6" X 3½" X 5/16" ANGLE A36 5" X 3" X ¼" ANGLE A36 4" X 4" X 3/8" ANGLE A36 3" X 3" X ¼" ANGLE A36 7" X 4" X 3/8" ANGLE A36

Albina Co., Inc. recently completed bending 21,000 pounds of curved steel for a Providence Medical Center located in Medford, Oregon. We bent Tube steel 8" X 6" X .250" WALL A500 GR B bent the Easy way to a 22 ft radius, tube steel 6" X 4" X .250" WALL A500 GR B Bent the Hard way to a 17 ft radius and Tube steel 6" X 3" X .250" WALL A500 GR B of which 4 lengths were bent the Easy way to a 23 ft radius and 4 lengths were bent the Hard way to a 17 ft radius. Lastly, we bent Tube steel 6" X 6" X .250" WALL A500 GR B Bent to a 44 ft radius.

We are basketball junkies in our family and we love watching March Madness! We love it because all scenarios are represented: big history-rich dominating schools vs. small underdog first timers, big boisterous coaches vs. the silent tactical types, and big 7-footers vs. small point guards. This last scenario is true in our family as I stand at 6'6" and Jaime almost a foot shorter. You can see below why Jaime, who actually played D1 college basketball, implemented a "no shot blocking rule" when we first started dating!! We think that this big vs. small comparison carries over so well into our business because we have the capability to bend steel for many different scenarios as well: big high-profile structural steel projects vs. small precision parts for manufacturing and industrial applications, large projects with mass quantities of bends vs. small one-piece bends for a one-time job and we are also a small, family owned business, yet we are the premier bending expert in the entire nation. This year's NASCC Show: The Steel Show will take place March 22-24 in San Antonio, Texas at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. It's here! The 2016 AISC Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges (ANSI/AISC 303-16) is now available as a free PDF download at www.aisc.org/2016code. Section 6.4.2 addresses chord / MO tolerances as it pertains to curved steel members. These tolerances are then applied to a bend radius. Albina's tolerances are equal to, or better than, the tolerances listed in the 2016 Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges. Use Albina for your next bending project and let us prove it to you!

The price of a competitor might be below ours, but when you add up all of the actual costs to receive and install the material, is there really a cost savings? If you chose the lowest price, you may deal with late delivery, poor quality or incorrect parts and a lack of or delayed communication. If you choose the lowest price, you will get what you pay for.

We have done it again! Albina continues to "Bend the Rules" of the steel bending process to continue to provide bends that are extremely difficult to our customer base. Albina recently rolled wide flange W8x24# the hardway to a 4 foot inside radius to AESS standards! This is an extremely tight radius to bend to and our operators bent it to perfection!
