Driving through Sun Valley this summer, we recalled a pipe bending job we did years ago at the R.E. Holding Sun Valley Pavilion. We grabbed some sandwiches at headed there for a picnic lunch and photo op! Always fun to see our work on display. For this very high profile project we rolled 220,000# of pipe ranging from 10" Sch80 to 10" XXH. Can't wait to take in a concert there after hitting the slopes someday!

We recently spiraled nearly 100 pieces of plate which formed the spiral staircase stringers of a multi-level spiral staircase for a major tech company in Seattle, WA. We also rolled 37 pieces of stainless steel tubing for the handrail. Materials rolled included:
1" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE IMPORT MATERIAL
Phase 1: Spiral roll the easy way a total of 80 pcs.
1" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE - 2" THICK A572 GR 50 PLATE
Phase 2: Bevel, Roll and Trim a total of 20+ pcs
1½" SCH40 T304 S/S #4 FINISH
Phase 3: Spiral roll 37 pcs of handrail.
We currently have three plate rolls in our facility ranging from small to large capacity. We just received a new CNC plate roll and have purchased another medium capacity plate roll to arrive in November. Contact us for all of your plate rolling needs!
“The Front Runner in Steel Bending. We Tower Above the Rest." We were thrilled to be an integral part of reconstructing Hayward Field at the University of Oregon and got to witness it in person these past two weeks thanks to our niece @ambertanner24 who competed in the NCAA Track & Field Championships in early June and this week in the US Olympic Trials!
Hayward Field is the world-class home to @OregonTF, but this week it takes center stage at the US Track & Field Olympic Trials. Albina created the curved steel diaphragm used to support the roof structure and provided various bent materials to help construct the landmark tower at the northeast corner of the facility. Designers wanted to create a structure that was open and airy, allowing spectators to enjoy great views and natural daylight, in an intimate environment.
In addition to the iconic roof, the tower at Hayward (187 feet tall) creates a community landmark honoring the first 100 years of track and field at Oregon. We rolled 400 lengths, varying from 20’-0” to 60’-0” long, of Tube Steel 8" X 4" X .500" WALL A500 GR B, 8-5/8" OD X .625" WALL A500C WHEELED, 8-5/8" OD X .375" WALL A500C WHEELED, 8-5/8" OD X .250" WALL A500C WHEELED, and Flat Bar 3/8" X 4½" A36. That is 330,000# lot weight (165 tons) of rolled steel, 10 inbound trucks and 16 outbound trucks! Photo Credit: @brooke_smith_photography

Abina reently partnered with @CreativeMachines to create some amazing curved steel artwork that will be installed very soon. The first piece we provided bent material for is titled "ACB Globe." Albina bent 12 lengths of 2½" SCH80 T304 S/S to a 6’-11” radius – 7’-4” radius.
The second piece we provided bending for is titled "Orbits Interweave" at NASA's Goddard Space Center. Albina bent 1 length of 3" SCH160 2507 SUPER DUPLEX S/S SMLS to a 19’-2” radius, 1 length 1½" SCH80 2507 SUPER DUPLEX S/S SMLS to a 13’-9” radius, and 3 pieces of 6" SCH40 A53B ERW to a 10’-2½” radius.
Albina loves to partner with local and national artists on fun and exciting projects like these! We help make curved steel art possible for corporate campuses, government buildings, museums, courtyards, entry-ways, university buildings and common areas, parks and much more.
Albina Co., Inc. recently provided 102,000# of bent steel for the curved roof structure at the UCHealth Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver in Englewood, Colorado. The building will serve as a rehabilitation and sports medicine center in Denver. The project's most prominent feature is the 185-ft-long, 40-ft-wide curved steel roof. The project is featured on the cover and as a feature article in the February Issue of Modern Steel. https://lnkd.in/eDn5SbQ

“Wind Witches” by Brian Borrello. The rounded twisting shapes of “Wind Witches” by Brian Borrello are inspired by the logarithmic spiraling within desert plants. The two sculptures are also an expression of the order and symmetry found in nature. Located at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, WA. Materials bent and Fabricated complete by Albina. "A Monumental Journey" by Kerry James Marshall was one of ten innovative projects to win a top Steel Design Award this year. Sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel (IDEAS²) Award program recognizes projects that illustrate the possibilities of building with structural steel. Marshall designed the sculpture for the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation. The sculpture is made of manganese, ironspot brick, steel, and granite and measures approx. H. 30 ft, D. 19 ft.
