That’s One Big Slinky! Albina recently coiled two assemblies out of 39 lengths x 20 feet of 2” OD x .120” wall T304 s/s (180 grit). Albina rolled, trimmed, weld prepped and TIG welded each coiled length. The material was coiled to a 90” diameter. Albina has the expertise to bend coils to virtually any configuration. We coil all forms of material: pipe, tubing, square and rectangular. Albina recently rolled a ton of different material and material sizes for the Arizona Biltmore (A Waldorf Astoria Resort) for their new Paradise Slides. Materials Albina bent for this project included tube steel, various sizes and widths of pipe and round tube as well as several pieces of angel and channel. Next Level Steel was the fabricator on the project.

The Leach Botanical Garden in Portland, Oregon underwent a six year, $12.6 million dollar renovation complete with new garden space, walking paths, a unique curved steel Aerial Tree Walk, an arbor and a fireside terrace. The Oregonian featured an article titled "Leach Botanical Garden Unveils $12.6 Million Renovation, a Gift of Green Space for SE Portland."

As we near the end of the pandemic, and start to come out of the recession, we are seeing little signs of change and positivity more and more every day. The phones are ringing, people are becoming more engaged, and projects are finally getting off the ground. We recently rolled some large cylinders on our DAVI MAV K30 plate roll. We rolled A36 Plate ¼" THICK X 120" WIDE x 40 ft long. We rolled 21 lengths x 40 ft all rolled to a 5'-0" outside radius. Albina's job was to Cut, Bevel, Roll, Tack Weld, and Brace for Shipping.

Albina Co., Inc. recently provided 102,000# of bent steel for the curved roof structure at the UCHealth Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver in Englewood, Colorado. The building will serve as a rehabilitation and sports medicine center in Denver. The project's most prominant feature is the 185-ft-long, 40-ft-wide curved steel roof. The project is featured on the cover and as a feature article in of the February Issue of Modern Steel.

Albina recently provided 127,000# of bent steel for a 230-foot long bicycle bridge along the South Bayfront in Emeryville, CA. Albina induction bent 15 lengths of TS 16" X 16" X .625" WALL A1085 A513 to 149 ft and 289 ft radii and 9 lengths of TS 20" X 12" X .625" WALL A1085 A513 induction bent the easy way to 290 ft and 310 ft radii.

Do you ever find yourself stumbling over your words when people ask you what you do or to describe what your company does? My father taught me at a young age that I should always have my elevator speech ready so I could describe to someone what we do in the amount of time it takes to travel up a few stories in an elevator. Since we can't ride in elevators with anyone other than our immediate family anymore, here is a quick 30 second video of some of the amazing rolled metal projects we have been a part of!
