Albina recently rolled various material for the eagle feather-inspired roof at the American Indian Hall at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. ThinkOne Construction Management designed a barrel-vaulted, curved, standing beam roof in the shape and color of an eagle feather. Metal roofing was specified to ensure durability and to create a non-penetrating attachment point for solar panels. The project was featured on page 37 of the October/November Issue of Metal Architecture.

Albina Co. Inc. bent the spiral staircases at the newly renovated Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. The Space Needle's rotating glass floor, dubbed "The Loupe", is located just below the open-air observation deck and Albina Co., Inc. was the steel bender/roller for the custom spiral staircases connecting the two areas. The stair centilevers off concealed supports, so the staircase appears to float above the glass floor below thus creating a very unique experience for the visitors. 

Albina Co., Inc. bent 1" thick x 13 ¼" wide A572 GR 50 to yield three 180" pieces and three 144" pieces of rolled plate and 1" thick x 10-13/16" wide A572 GR 50 to yield one 80" piece of rolled plate. We also bent tube steel 10" x 6" x .625" WALL A500 GR B to a 11’ 6” inside plan view radius (the easy way).

When guests walked into the Met Gala’s Great Hall, they were greeted by the Statue of Liberty’s eternal flame of enlightenment at the centerpiece of this year’s ball. Albina bent the 1” pipe framework for the ribbons of a towering spiral staircase leading to the shimmering flame. When our customer received the bends, they had this to say:

"We received the bends and they look great! I appreciate that everything was checked and well labeled before you guys sent it out. It was a pleasure working with you and I hope to do business in the future."

Restoration Hardware’s newest San Francisco gallery spans all 5 stories of the historic and newly renovated Bethlehem Steel Building and features a gorgeous spiral staircase! The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Science in Lubbock, Texas is a 220,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus featuring two theaters, event space, a full-service bistro and a ballet academy under one roof. We recently used our state of the art induction spiral bending process to help create a gorgeous residential staircase for a custom home by Tate Builders. Materials included TS 12" X 8" X .500" WALL A500 GR B Induction spiral bent to AESS standards to a 3’ – 6” plan view radius. 256” minimum bent and 1½" OD X .120" WALL T316 S/S Spiral bent grab rails- Bent and polished to a 180 grit finish.

Albina recently spiral rolled 4 pieces of 14"OD X .500" WALL A53 GR B WHEELED to a 9'-4" plan view radius for both the spiral and landing support sections of the lobby spiral staircase in the Volvo Cab Assembly Building. The Arizona Biltmore (A Waldorf Astoria Resort) recently opened their new Paradise Slides and equally as impressive as the slides themselves is the spiral staircase used to acend to the top of the slides. Materials Albina bent for this project included tube steel, various sizes and widths of pipe and round tube as well as several pieces of angel and channel. Next Level Steel was the fabricator on the project.

We recently spiraled nearly 100 pieces of plate which formed the spiral staircase stringers of a multi-level spiral staircase for a major tech company in Seattle, WA. We also rolled 37 pieces of stainless steel tubing for the handrail. Materials rolled included:
