Albina bent 10 lengths of 60-65 foot spans of wide flange W36 X 135# A709-50W the easy way to a radius range of 95 ft – 229 ft, depending on the length and section of the bridge. The Red Electric Bridge, located in Southwest Portland, provides pedestrians and cyclists with a direct, car-free link to the main streets of the area through a forested gulch.
Albina Co. Inc. bent the spiral staircases at the newly renovated Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. The Space Needle's rotating glass floor, dubbed "The Loupe", is located just below the open-air observation deck and Albina Co., Inc. was the steel bender/roller for the custom spiral staircases connecting the two areas. The stair centilevers off concealed supports, so the staircase appears to float above the glass floor below thus creating a very unique experience for the visitors.
Albina Co., Inc. bent 1" thick x 13 ¼" wide A572 GR 50 to yield three 180" pieces and three 144" pieces of rolled plate and 1" thick x 10-13/16" wide A572 GR 50 to yield one 80" piece of rolled plate. We also bent tube steel 10" x 6" x .625" WALL A500 GR B to a 11’ 6” inside plan view radius (the easy way).

Restoration Hardware’s newest San Francisco gallery spans all 5 stories of the historic and newly renovated Bethlehem Steel Building and features a gorgeous spiral staircase! The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Science in Lubbock, Texas is a 220,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus featuring two theaters, event space, a full-service bistro and a ballet academy under one roof. Albina bent 40,000# of steel for the steel tree-like columns and curved “steel” branches that create the biophilic-inspired archway entrance for the Freyer-Newman Center at the Denver Botanical Gardens. Albina bent 60 pieces of W8 X 31# A992 the hard way to a full scale layout. We also bent Tube Steel 8" X 6" X .500" WALL A500 GR B the hard way and MC8 X 20# A36 the hard way. The Freyer - Newman Center is a LEED GOLD building, designed by Denver’s Davis Partnership Architects. The Center houses six classrooms; four galleries; new herbaria for vascular plants, mushrooms and slime molds; laboratories; a new library and a coffee shop.

Albina is part of yet another "What's Cool In Steel" project! "Flourish", a gateway sculpture located in Lake Oswego, Oregon is featured in the December 2021 Issue of Modern Steel. Albina bent 6 lengths of 2½" SCH40 T304 S/S POLISHED- to a 32’-0” radius for “Flourish." The sculpture was installed as a welcoming gateway to the city and in addition, it addresses pedestrian and vehicular traffic along sightlines to the north and south on HWY 43.

We recently used our state of the art induction spiral bending process to help create a gorgeous residential staircase for a custom home by Tate Builders. Materials included TS 12" X 8" X .500" WALL A500 GR B Induction spiral bent to AESS standards to a 3’ – 6” plan view radius. 256” minimum bent and 1½" OD X .120" WALL T316 S/S Spiral bent grab rails- Bent and polished to a 180 grit finish.
