Albina provided 60,000# of bent steel for the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple Renovations over the last few years in efforts to help provide a foundation that will withstand the forces of nature into the Millennium.

132 pieces of 8” galvanized pipe and 44 pieces of 6” galvanized pipe. All bent to various radii.

SGA’s, Arsenal on the Charles, is a new life science campus in Watertown, Massachusetts with three new research and laboratory facilities on the bank of the Charles River. SGA specializes in highly sustainable life science buildings and campuses. In addition to the 4-story office and research lab, the campus offers a green space and community gardens where you will find the canopy Albina bent for this project.

We bent 11 lengths of Tube Steel 8” X 6” X .375” WALL A500 GR B to net 14 bent pieces. All parts were bent by Albina to various radii ranging from 4’-3” to 105’-0”.

Albina bent 130,000#, 292 pieces, of various structural steel for the Brick Market, a mixed-use contemporary building in Portsmouth's historic district. Albina supplied various bent pieces of round tubing, wide flange, square and rectangular tubing, channel and angle for the building which features a public market on the first floor, three floors of office space and two levels of underground parking.

The Hyatt Regency, located atop the Bethesda Metro station and minutes from downtown D.C., features an award winning staircase the newly reimagined lobby space. The Ernest Wiemann Top Job Contest is a peer-judged competition created to honor outstanding work. The staircase, fabricated by Emerald Ironworks, took home a silver Ernest Wiemann Top Job Contest Award in the "Commercial-Stairs Complete" category. 

The interior stringer of this "floating" staircase has five different radii. The stringers had to be clad in wood and the steps in Italian marble. Most impressive, ot steel stringers installed to within 1/32" tolerances. Materials bent for the staircase included:

Albina recently rolled 36 pieces of Tube Steel 6” X 6” X .375” WALL A500 GR C to AESS standards at radii ranging from 3’-9” – 24’-4” for the United States Air Force Academy Visitors Center. The visitors center is expected to open early 2024 and the 32,000 square-foot facility will include storytelling and high-tech exhibits reflecting the Air Force and Space Force missions as well as illustrating a day in the life of a cadet at the Academy.  The Visitors Center is viewed as more than a public entrance to the Academy, it is also a gateway to Colorado Springs. Six years in the making, the new area will also feature a hotel, retail space and office space.

Albina recently bent 70 pieces of 2” XXH A53B ERW and 20 pieces of 2 3/8” 1018 Solid Round to various configurations for a new art installation at Cedar Sanai Hospital in LA.  We can bend all types of pipe and tubing including aluminum, stainless and carbon steel. We have had the pleasure of providing many bent steel pieces for some fabulous projects at the San Diego Zoo including the Hummingbird Habitat, Komodo Kingdom, the Invert Building, the ZPA Catering Building, the Food Services Building, the Raintree Restroom and many more exhibits throughout both the Children’s zoo and the main part of the zoo.

Albina bent 10 lengths of 60-65 foot spans of wide flange W36 X 135# A709-50W the easy way to a radius range of 95 ft – 229 ft, depending on the length and section of the bridge. The Red Electric Bridge, located in Southwest Portland, provides pedestrians and cyclists with a direct, car-free link to the main streets of the area through a forested gulch.

The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Science in Lubbock, Texas is a 220,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus featuring two theaters, event space, a full-service bistro and a ballet academy under one roof. Albina bent various materials for the signature spiral staircase in the Christine DeVitt Lobby. See the video below to get a sneak peek inside!
