Albina Co., Inc. recently provided curved steel pipe bends for four conical precast columns located on the Plano Street Bridge over the Tule River in Porterville, CA.

The reemergence of the sunshine and warm weather in Oregon has seemed to also generate some very large Structural Steel, Plate, Pipe, Square and Rectangular tubing projects.  Many of these projects also include some supplemental fabrication work.  Supplemental fabrication projects typically involve bent materials that are then welded, drilled, trimmed, etc (i.e. value added services).  We provide these services to allow our customers (typically fabricators or manufactures) to cut one PO and not have to worry about processing secondary processes in their busy shops.  Albina has been proactive in our facility planning to allow for this surge of work.  We recently purchased another building that is being erected on our property.  This building will act as storage for work in process materials and projects.  Storing material outside our main facility will free up valuable manufacturing space for some of our massive summer / fall curved steel projects. We are always trying to stay one step ahead of demand to continue to bring our customers the exceptional service they have grown accustomed to.

Alibna recently bent 1¼” OD x .065” wall T304 stainless steel for custom vacuum parts. Albina then added several "value add" services including trimming, machining one end after the trim, and deburring and breaking all edges post machining.

Albina Co., Inc. bent several pieces of custom pipe for the brand new marquee at the Moda Center, home of the NBA Portland Trailblazers. Installation of the marquee began on March 20th and the new lighting is targeted for next week. In addition to the Moda Center sign, Albina has produced several custom signs created from various forms of bent steel. Some of our most noteworthy projects include: a) Eldorado Business Campus Meridian, ID. b) Happy Hallow Zoo San Diego, CA. c) Curt Gowdy State Park Cheyenne, WY.

Albina was just awarded another project consisting of 1,050 pieces of 2" OD X .065" WALL 6061-T6 ALUM. These parts are being processed complete by Albina (cut, bent, trimmed, drilled and machined) and the work was moved to Albina from China because the customer required better quality and a more favorable lead-time. In addition, the customer was pleasantly surprised with the competitive pricing we were able to provide on the job. Albina Co., Inc. recently bent, trimmed and tack welded 48 pieces of 1" Sch40 A53B ERW pipe to create steam coils for sulphur melters. Sulphur melters are either above ground tanks or inground pits with steam coils for melting the sulphur. Coils may be fabricated in trombone, helical and other shapes. The use of finned tubes will increase surface area and enhance heat transfer. As part of this same project, Albina cut, bent, drilled and tack welded 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/4" angle T304 S/S.
