When guests walked into the Met Gala’s Great Hall, they were greeted by the Statue of Liberty’s eternal flame of enlightenment at the centerpiece of this year’s ball. Albina bent the 1” pipe framework for the ribbons of a towering spiral staircase leading to the shimmering flame. When our customer received the bends, they had this to say:

"We received the bends and they look great! I appreciate that everything was checked and well labeled before you guys sent it out. It was a pleasure working with you and I hope to do business in the future."

The centerpiece was featured in Vogue Magazine  and a time lapse of the erection can be seen on Instagram.  Below are a few pictures from the fabrication and erection processes.

The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Science in Lubbock, Texas is a 220,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus featuring two theaters, event space, a full-service bistro and a ballet academy under one roof. Albina bent various materials for the signature spiral staircase in the Christine DeVitt Lobby. See the video below to get a sneak peek inside!

We recently used our state of the art induction spiral bending process to help create a gorgeous residential staircase for a custom home by Tate Builders. Materials included TS 12" X 8" X .500" WALL A500 GR B Induction spiral bent to AESS standards to a 3’ – 6” plan view radius. 256” minimum bent and 1½" OD X .120" WALL T316 S/S Spiral bent grab rails- Bent and polished to a 180 grit finish.

Albina recently spiral rolled 4 pieces of 14"OD X .500" WALL A53 GR B WHEELED to a 9'-4" plan view radius for both the spiral and landing support sections of the lobby spiral staircase in the Volvo Cab Assembly Building. Our Induction Heat Source and Increment Bending Method Produces Extremely Tight Spiral Bends to Industry Leading Quality AESS Standards. Check out our photo gallery of projects.

We recently spiraled nearly 100 pieces of plate which formed the spiral staircase stringers of a multi-level spiral staircase for a major tech company in Seattle, WA. We also rolled 37 pieces of stainless steel tubing for the handrail. Materials rolled included:

Albina recently rolled a ton of different material and material sizes for the Arizona Biltmore (A Waldorf Astoria Resort) for their new Paradise Slides. Materials Albina bent for this project included tube steel, various sizes and widths of pipe and round tube as well as several pieces of angel and channel. Next Level Steel was the fabricator on the project.

Two lengths spiral bent to a 13 ft plan view radius of 8" SCH40 A53B ERW WHEELED

1 piece Plate ½" THICK X 12" WIDE A36 rolled to a 52” inside plan view radius and 1 piece Plate ½" THICK X 108.92" WIDE A36 rolled to a 15½” inside plan view radius for a private residence.

Plate ½" X 14" A36 stringer 2 lengths spiral rolled the easy way to a 4’-8 7/8” radius. ½" SOLID ROUND A36 (railings)- not pictured. 20 lengths x 20 ft- spiral rolled to a 4’-8 7/8” radius.

The facelift to 1360 North Harbor Drive along the North Embarcadero is complete! The Port of San Diego and The Brigantine, Inc. began construction in July 2018 to redevelop Portside Pier including introducing four new dining concepts and enhancing the panoramic views of San Diego Bay for daily visitors. Albina Co., Inc. provided 60,000 pounds of various bent materials for the unique curved roof structure as well as for a signature spiral staircase that leads from the dock to the second floor public walkway and viewing deck.
