Architects Endorse Design-Build Amendment to National Defense Authorization Act
See the full press release from the AIA on the American Institute of Architecture website. The amendment states: “For the government to get the most out of taxpayer dollars, procurement rules must be reformed so that architects and designers can deliver projects that are safe, productive and sustainable - without fear of losing money in the process,” said AIA CEO Robert Ivy, FAIA. “H.R. 2750 would do just that – in the process allowing a predictable number of design/construction teams to submit proposals and spurring more design-build competition.
New Trends in Metal Architecture
In this months edition of Metal Architecture, Editorial Director, Paul Deffenbaugh discusses the various ways in which the use of metal in architectural design is becoming more prevalent and influential. Of the various topics he addresses, he claims that metal allows for more flexibility in design because of weight, color, versatility, performance, sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

Bent Wide Flange and Rolled Plate Installed in Custom Treehouse
Albina bent and fabricated various structural materials to create the floor supports and decking for a custom tree house in Sammamish, Washington. Online Order Program for Duct Systems and Component Parts in Development
Albina Co., Inc. continues to strive to be your "one stop shop" for all your bending, fabrication and component part needs.
