In the June edition of Metal Architecture The AIA (American Institute of Architects) and its Committee on the Environment (COTE) selected the top 10 examples of sustainable architecture and ecological design projects to be honored at the AIA National Convention this weekend. Albina Co., Inc. was the bender/roller for the exterior curved tube steel on the facade of the Edith Green-Wendell Wyatt Federal Building in Portland, Oregon. In this months edition of Metal Architecture, Editorial Director, Paul Deffenbaugh discusses the various ways in which the use of metal in architectural design is becoming more prevalent and influential. Of the various topics he addresses, he claims that metal allows for more flexibility in design because of weight, color, versatility, performance, sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

The February issue of Metal Architecture features various metal roof solutions and will be the main publication handed out at the International Roofing Expo February 26-28th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
