We recently completed a unique curved stainless steel art project for Camelback Commons in Arizona. Albina Co., Inc. bent 8 pieces of 3″ SCH40 T304 Stainless Steel. All parts were bent to a full scale layout and all points needed to be hit +/-½”. The tightest radius was a 36” centerline. Camelback Commons are multi-level buildings with an open atrium for businesses as well as apartments, just walking distance from the high-dollar Arizona Biltmore. I often take time at the beginning of each new year to reflect on some cool projects we have done over the years and to make sure that we get those out to the digital world and share them with steel enthusiasts. One of the coolest art projects we have been a part of was the “Molecule” by Larry Kirkland for Winona State University in Minnesota.
Albina rolled 200, 12 foot lengths of ½” SOLID ROUND 6061-T6 Aluminum to net 133 full circles. Our customer then trimmed and fabricated the “Molecule” complete.
We were recently floating the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon and after a day of fun, we decided to go grab lunch and cool beverage at one of our favorite locations, 10 Barrel Brewing. As we looked at the menu, and admired the new remodel of the restaurant, we noticed the beer taps! We recently bent 1-1/2” OD x .065 wall T304 Stainless steel #4 finish. These are 90 degree bends on a 2-3/4” Center line radius. How exciting to see our work on display at such a hip location on Galveston Street!

We recently completed a very difficult job in which we bent 3″ OD X .065″ WALL T304 Stainless Steel POLISHED, 2½” OD X .065″ WALL T304 Stainless Steel POLISHED, and 1/2″ OD X .065″ WALL T304 Stainless Steel Polished for a manufacturing customer. The really tight bends in the picture below are elbows (butt-weld fittings) that are purchased off the shelf at a pipe supply house. The bends we did are the larger radii bends. Albina is a reliable vendor when it comes to producing bent parts for manufacturing applications. When applicable, we can provide same day and/or shutdown services which is a huge plus for customers that rely on equipment running 24 hours a day. Albina is also qualified to process NQA-1 work for certified NQA-1 shops.
Albina just bent and welded 27 lengths x 20 ft to make 3 cooling coil assemblies for a refrigeration project. All material processed was 1¼” Sch80 SA106B seamless.
Albina roll bent the material to the requested coil configurations. We trimmed the coils to size and draw bent the terminals and welded the terminals to the coils. Each cooling coil assemble was pressure tested after fabrication for leaks. Once we completed this project we shipped it across the country to Maryland!
Albina spiral coiled ½” OD X .065″ WALL stainless steel tube heat exchanger for an industrial application. We were supplied with only the existing coil to reproduce from. The coils were bent in one continuous piece that spirals down on the inside and then steps out and spirals back over itself. The sheet between was not needed to complete the bends but was left in place to match the existing design.

We are able to process small material just as well as larger material. We just finished a production run of .438″ OD X .020″ WALL T304 S/S for a dental component company. These parts are processed complete (all functions done by Albina) and bent on a 1” Center-Line-Radius.
