Albina recently completed several curved steel pieces including a custom martini glass, a palm tree and a curved steel marquis for one of the entrances to the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fremont Street Experience is a five-block entertainment district in historic downtown Las Vegas that is home to Vista Vision, the worlds largest video screen, the SlotZilla zipline, some of the cities most iconic casinos, and over 60 restaurants and retail stores.
Albina recently bent Tube Steel 5″ X 3″ X .375″ WALL A500 GR B and Tube Steel 6″ X 4″ X .375″ WALL A500 GR B, all bent the easy way, to create the new lighted marquee at the Moda Center. The Moda Center is the home of the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers. The bent tube steel was used to create the following letters: O, A, E (2), C, D. In addition to the marquee outside, we also bent to the tube steel that provides the base to the jumbotron scoreboard that hangs above center court.
Albina Co., Inc. had the opportunity to feature several of their high-profile bent steel projects in many of the national trade publications during the month of February. NOMMA’s (National Ornamental of Misc. Metals Association) Annual Buyers Guide features several spiral, circular and helical staircases using materials such as plate, pipe, tube and structural members. It also highlights some of the decorative gates, fences and signage that we specialize in. One new product that Albina is offering includes complete handrail kits. The handrails are bent and trimmed per the customer’s drawing, the mid-rails trimmed and coped, and the assemblies are supplied as individual parts or fabricated complete!

Below is a picture of the final installation of the “Continuum Globe Project” for a Business Park in Arizona. The project was designed by Trademark Visual. Albina bent TS 12″ x 8″ x .375″, TS 12″ x 8″ x .625″ wall, 4″ Sch40 pipe and various lengths of 1″ plate for the custom sign. This picture was taken just before the final seal coat was applied to the “rusted” cradle portion. The steel erectors said that the components fit together nicely with no problems.
