Plate Rolling is the typical method of curving plate (i.e. sheet of material) into round / cylindrical or conical shapes. This method of rolling is similar to the pyramid rolling method where individual "shafts / rolls" turn independently to form the sheet of material to desired radii. Capacity is defined by thickness of material and overall width of material. A section of plate is placed in a machine and curved between three or four rolls. Bending occurs when the distance between these rolls is manipulated before each successive pass. The diameter that a plate roll can roll a piece of plate will be limited to the roller diameter in the plate roll (i.e. one can’t roll plate to a diameter tighter then the plate roller die itself).

I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the quick turn around on these tubes. Albina Co., Inc. just made a big emergency that we had not such a big deal.
I just would like to say that your guys over there were really good about keeping me in the loop on everything (Aaron/Jason) from material arriving to you guys, your schedule, when the material would ship to us, etc. Also, your price was very competitive even including the extra shipping charges. We haven’t started fabricating any of the rolled pieces yet, but from what I hear about Albina we should be good. I will continue to send quotes to Albina on any rolling jobs that I receive.
