Last night was Taylor Swift’s opening night for her “Reputation Tour” at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona! Albina Co., Inc. bent 270,000 pounds of steel for the University of Phoenix Stadium. 31 lens x 20 ft: 1½” X 1½” X 3/16″ ANGLE A36 Rolled all leg out. Each part had 2 radii. 206 lengths of Tube Steel 10″ X 6″ X .375″ WALL A500 GR B. All material was bent to AESS (architecturally exposed structural steel)standards. There were multiple radii per piece as tight as a 4′ 7″ CLR. All parts were bent the Hard-way.
We just finished a project for a new customer out of Texas. Albina Co., Inc. provided 40,000# of bent steel for the Fort Worth Multi-Purpose Arena project in Fort Worth, Texas which broke ground on April 18th. Albina provided 28 pieces of spiral bent Tube Steel 8″ X 4″ X .500″ WALL A500 GR B the easy way to AESS (Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel) standards. The tightest section was bent to a 17 foot radius. The Fort Worth Multipurpose Arena will be a 14,000-seat, multipurpose venue owned by the City of Fort Worth. The state-of-the-art arena, scheduled to open in November 2019, will host concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and will be the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo performances.
Bridge bending? Yes- we bend steel for anything, even bridges! In fact every month steel is leaving our yard for different steel bridge projects. We recently finished bending steel for two bridge projects located on opposite ends of the United States. The first project shipped to Maine and consisted of 12,000# of HSS (rectangular and square tubing). Sizes ranged from TS 8” x 8” x .375” wall to TS 14” x 14” x .375” wall. The second project located in California (a week later) was for 21,000# of W33 X 118# A992 bent the hard way. We can provide bending needs for east coast and west coast projects!
We were recently involved with some bending for the Digestive Health Institute of Montana, the largest gastrointestinal (GI) medical group in Montana. Approximately 30,000 pounds of bent steel was shipped to Great Falls, MT for fabrication. This project was unique due to the wide range of materials needing to be rolled.

Albina Co., Inc. recently bent 90 pieces of Tube Steel 8″ X 4″ X .375″ WALL A500 GR C the hardway to a complicated “S” configuration. The tightest “S” section that we bent was down to a 59” radius. All of the material was bent cold on our profile rolling equipment. This steel was shipping to a good customer in Canada to be fabricated and then installed at Simon Fraser University.
Albina Co., Inc. recently completed bending 21,000 pounds of curved steel for a Providence Medical Center located in Medford, Oregon. We bent Tube steel 8″ X 6″ X .250″ WALL A500 GR B bent the Easy way to a 22 ft radius, tube steel 6″ X 4″ X .250″ WALL A500 GR B Bent the Hard way to a 17 ft radius and Tube steel 6″ X 3″ X .250″ WALL A500 GR B of which 4 lengths were bent the Easy way to a 23 ft radius and 4 lengths were bent the Hard way to a 17 ft radius. Lastly, we bent Tube steel 6″ X 6″ X .250″ WALL A500 GR B Bent to a 44 ft radius.
Albina Co., Inc. recently completed bending spiral stringers of tube steel 10” x 6” x .625” wall all spiral bent the easy way down to a 7’ 4” inside radius. The stingers were bent for a Goodwin Proctor Law Office located in California. Albina Co., Inc. is the #1 steel stringer bender in the nation because Albina doesn’t split HSS prior to bending and then weld the sections back together to meet your needs, our HSS members are bent as HSS members. Albina doesn’t fill your HSS with other structural members. We are able to bend HSS members without adding extra material and weight and are still able to meet or exceed your quality requirements. Albina Co., Inc. bent 40,000 lbs. of various sizes of tube steel for the spiral staircases at the John J. Hemmingson Center at Gonzaga University Spokane, WA. Materials consisted of Tube Steel 16″ X 8″ X .500″ WALL A500 GR B rolled the easy way down to a 22 ft radius. These lengths of material were spiral bent using our induction heating process to AESS standards. We also bent Tube Steel 12″ X 6″ X .250″ WALL A500 GR B rolled the hard way down to a 19 ft radius. The John J. Hemmingson Center was completed in 2015 and serves as a meeting place for students, staff and visitors the University. We visited the campus shortly after it opened and my son will tell you that the highlight for him was the cafe where you can make your own milkshakes! He was sold from then on out and hopes to attend Gonzago University himself one day!
Albina recently finished another phase of work for the new Stanford ChEM-H & SNI Building located on the Stanford University Campus. This latest phase consisted of 35,000# of bent HSS (rectangular and square tubing).

Albina Co., Inc. recently bent 60,000# of Tube Steel 18″ X 6″ X .625″ WALL A500 GR B for the Young Living Global Headquarters in Lehi, Utah. Young Living Global is a world leader in producing essential oils and broke ground in May 2017 for its 263,000 square-foot, world-class building which was designed to complement Young Living’s philosophy of living harmoniously with nature. They focused on green initiatives in both the indoor and outdoor design.
“The care and detail that went into designing our headquarters was a collaborative effort to capture our Founder and Chairman of the Board D. Gary Young’s vision for an architectural representation of the spirit of wellness and abundance that Young Living embodies,” said Jared Turner, Young Living Chief Operating Officer. “I am certain this campus will be one-of-a-kind, inside and out; and we look forward to sharing it with our local community and all who wish to visit.”
We bent a total of 53 pieces and all of them were bent the easy way or spiral bent the easy way to as tight as a 43 foot radius. All of the steel material was bent to Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel standards.
